Polling day for the 2025 School Board Elections is November 17
The Candidate nomination period is October 24 to November 6
School Board elections are conducted in accordance with the Education Act.
School boards provide a way for Yukoners to make policy for the administration, management & operation of schools, and provide educational programs for students. They assist with the development & implementation of plans and ensure the board manages its resources efficiently. A general election is held every three years to elect five trustees to each of the Yukon's school boards.

The list of confirmed candidates is available as nominations are approved. Nominations close on Thursday, November 6, at 12:00 PM.
What are my options to vote?
Where required, eligible electors will have multiple opportunities to vote.

What is Internet Voting?
- When you register to vote, you can select the option to vote by internet. You will receive an email (check your SPAM folder; sometimes they go there) that will include a link to the voting website, along with a unique login and PIN. Use that to log in and cast your vote, and you're done!

Apply for a mailed special ballot or vote by internet ballot
Mailed ballots or vote-by-internet special ballots can be requested by qualified electors by filling out an online application via the buttons below.
Applications for mailed ballots close on November 6 at 12:00 PM.
Links for internet ballots will be sent, and online voting will occur from November 7 to November 17.
NOTE: due to the Canada Post labour dispute, mailed ballot times may be unreliable or delayed. Internet voting is not affected by the labour action.
Nomination to be a candidate in a school board election
If you are interested in being a candidate for either school board, you will need to fill out a nomination package.
The deadline to submit nominations is November 6 at 12:00 PM.
