Early Bird Applications for Mail-out Special Ballots

In anticipation of the territorial general election to be called on or before Friday, October 3, 2025, Elections Yukon will begin accepting applications for mail-out special ballots on Monday, September 29, 2025.

The mail-out special ballot kit will be sent out to early applicants on the day the election is called.

This is to support electors who plan to be out of the territory during the election period and who would benefit from an early mailing out of their special ballot kit.

Early bird applications for mail-out special ballots are found online at electionsyukon.ca, and they can also be sent in by mail, email, or fax — these are not available at returning offices. The deadline for these early bird mail-out special ballot applications is 19 days after the writ is issued to allow adequate time for mail delivery and the returning of ballots.

If the election is called on or before September 29, then mail-out special ballots will be available for electors on demand, and by request.
