We are recruiting returning officers for three electoral districts: Marsh Lake-Mount Lorne-Golden Horn, Mayo-Tatchun, and Vuntut Gwitchin.
If you are unsure whether you live in any of these electoral districts, you can use the maps below to see where the boundaries are:
| ED 6: Marsh Lake-Mount Lorne-Golden Horn | |
| ED 7: Mayo-Tatchun | |
| ED 16: Vuntut Gwitchin |
Returning officers are our senior field leaders, reporting to the Chief Electoral Officer and responsible for managing the election process in their electoral district. This includes hiring and leading the district team, managing the office and polling stations, liaising with the head office, communicating with the public and stakeholders, and overseeing the counting and reporting of the vote.
These are long-term appointments with minimal time commitments between elections for training and preparation work. More activities ramp up when a general election is called to prepare, and on-site, daily availability is required during an election period.
We are looking for people who are non-partisan with strong leadership and communication skills, an ability to manage a team and processes, comfort with technology, and an ability to work in a busy, high-volume, public environment. Election experience is an asset but not required—we provide full, paid training on election processes.
