Check my registration

Before continuing to the secure registration portal to check you registration status, here is what you need to know:

To check your registration, you will need to supply your legal name, current civic address and date of birth. If registered, your registration will be confirmed and your electoral district identified. No identification is required.    

For communities outside Whitehorse, if you do not find your registration using address, try using community search.    

If your registration is not confirmed, you will be required to register or update your registration. You will need to upload identification (you can use a picture, document or other file).




If you were registered for the 2016 Yukon territorial election or the 2019 federal election, and are still at the same civic address, you can check your registration status here. 

The register is a database used to produce list of eligible electors.   A permanent register of electors has been established for future territorial elections. This replaces the territory-wide enumeration process.   

As well, once registered, there is no need to register for subsequent elections.   Electors will receive a Voter Information Card early during the territorial election period with voting options, poll locations and times, and contact information.  The voting process will be faster, simpler, and more convenient.  

If not on the register, you will not receive a voter information card and you will be required to register each time you vote.  You can also have your name removed from the voter list.  

The next territorial election can be called no later than November 18, 2021.  Age and residency requirements to be an elector are based on polling day (typically 31 days after the writ is issued).
