Date: Friday 03 October 2025
The Chief Electoral Officer, Maxwell Harvey, has issued writs of elections for Yukon’s 36th Territorial General Election and the plebiscite vote on electoral reform. Polling day is November 3, 2025.
Returning Officers will establish offices and administer the election and plebiscite in each of the Yukon’s 21 electoral districts. Electors can visit any returning office to register to vote, receive or return a special ballot kit, or get information about the election and plebiscite.
In person special ballot voting will open at all returning offices on Saturday and continue until October 31 at 8 PM. For electors who apply to have their special ballots mailed outside the Yukon, in lieu of mail delivery, courier services will be used to arrange delivery and return of the kits.
The delivery of Voter Information Cards (VICs), planned for the second week of the election, may be disrupted by the postal strike. Where mail delivery is not possible, digital VICs and ‘Where Do I Vote?’ Information will be available online at electionsyukon.ca.
There are new electoral districts and changed boundaries for the 2025 Territorial General Election. Electors can confirm their electoral district at electionsyukon.ca/en/find-my-electoral-district
Elections Yukon is hiring election workers in all electoral districts to help deliver the democratic process at the polls. Applications are available online or at any returning office. We encourage you to consider working at the polls.
Additional information and contact lists for the returning offices are attached.
