Fundraising by political parties is an important element in our democracy to support organizing, promotion, and campaigning. It is also an opportunity for citizens to participate in the political process by supporting organizations. Proactive financial disclosure requirements, such as the annual revenue return, are designed to ensure political financing is fair and transparent.
