Financial Reports for Political parties and Elections

NEW

The 2023 Annual Report on Political Party Revenues was released on June 28, 2024.

Annual political party revenue reports

Each year, registered political parties must report their total revenues. The deadline for this report is March 31.

Political parties only need to report their revenues. They do not need to disclose their assets, liabilities, or expenses.

Every year, Elections Yukon compiles and publishes a comprehensive summary report. It includes for each party:

  • total revenue by source
  • the number of contributions
  • the value of contributions received
  • the contribution type (monetary and in-kind)
  • the names of contributors who contributed more than $250

Annual revenue return (ARR) reports

Election financing reports

After a territorial election event, candidates and political parties must report their revenues and expenses. They report these in three parts:

  • Election Revenue Return (ERR)
  • Election Expenses Return (EER)
  • Election Financing Return (EFR)

Together, these reports show total revenues, expenses, and any surplus/deficit. The deadline for submitting these reports is 90 days after the return of the writ.

Elections Yukon compiles these and publishes a summary report.
