One week remains in Referendum Voting Period

Date:  Thursday, January 20, 2022

Eligible electors have one week left to cast their vote and they have more options than ever to do so. Options to receive a referendum ballot before Thursday, January 27, 2022 include:

  • In-person voting during set hours with the Referendum Officers in the community (dates, times and locations are available on ElectionsYukon.ca);
  • In-person voting by appointment with the Referendum Officer in the community;
  • In-person voting at the Main Administration Building in Whitehorse, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm; or
  • Contactless voting by appointment for electors who have been instructed to self-isolate

COVID-19 protocols, including the Safe 6 + 1 are in place for all voting. Masks use is required.

Due to community outbreaks of COVID-19, voting in Old Crow and Ross River will be by contactless appointment only. Notices have been distributed to electors in both Old Crow and Ross River with further directions on how to cast their vote. The decision to modify voting in Old Crow and Ross River was made with elector, community and election worker safety in mind.
