Key Dates - 2022 School Board Elections

 

Nomination period begins Monday, October 17
Close of nominations
(last day submit nominations)
Thursday, October 27
at 12:00 noon
Early voting Saturday, November 5
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Polling day Monday, November 7
3:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Trustees' term begins Tuesday, November 8
Trustees' term ends Fall 2025

 

Nominations

Interested candidates must file nomination papers. Nomination papers will be accepted from Monday, October 17 until 12 noon on nomination day, Thursday, October 27.

Early submissions are encouraged.

Voting

Electors have a more options than ever before to vote in the School Board elections, including multiple in-person opportunities, iVote, voting by mail and voting by appointment.

Eligibility

To be eligible to vote or be a candidate, you must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years of age on polling day (November 7, 2022). Each school board has specific eligibility criteria. Check your eligibility for the board you're seeking election to.
