Check or update your voter registration

You can register to vote at any time. Registering ahead of an election means that you will get important updates from Elections Yukon once an election is called, including a personalized voter information card that tells you where, when, and how to vote in upcoming territorial elections.

Being on the list will also make the voting process faster and easier.

 

You can use the secure online registration portal below, you can check, update, or add your information to the list of electors.

To be added to the register, you must be:

  • a Canadian citizen, and
  • a resident of the Yukon for at least 12 months
  • at least 16 years of age*

*although 16 and 17 year olds can register, they will not be able to vote until they turn 18.

 

The secure online registration portal will ask for your:

  • legal name, 
  • date of birth, and
  • civic address (the address where you live).

If you are registering for the first time or updating your information, you will need to upload a copy of your ID that shows your name and address. Your ID must match your registration. Most people use their Yukon driver's license or general identification card. There are 50+ ID options.
